I grew up in Hawaii, and there’s no better day than on an ‘Aloha Friday‘ to acknowledge the good vibes in the world!
Yesterday, I lost my iPhone around Columbus Circle while running errands and ACTUALLY GOT IT BACK. And not only that, but it was unscathed by the rain (Did I mention that the phone apparently fell out of my pocket on a rainy day on 58th Street?!) and in the same condition I had lost it in (as far as I can tell), i.e., my awesome glitter protector (muah, Cap!) still in tact, no scratches or evidence of identity theft. And, even more amazing, my sweet husband who works in Midtown, was able to pick up my phone — I know, this sounds basic, but there are many days when this man is legit tied up — from Mimi (who also did not demand any sort of compensation) and delivered it to me later in Tribeca so that I didn’t need to hop back on the subway.
Anyway, this is not the first iPhone I’ve lost…there were two others, one of which ended up in the Bronx (according to ‘Find my iPhone) and the other which managed to fall off the grid in Austin the minute it disappeared.
Long story short, we’re often too critical of all the ways we’re failing and should embrace the encouragement from God, The Universe, Buddha, etc. when we receive it.
XO, MP
